Release 2.1 focused on three key areas: a powerful new forest management library (abe-lib), enhanced deadwood dynamics, and various cross-platform build improvements.

Release 2.0 included a major rewrite of core simulation interfaces, improved performance, and upgraded cross-platform builds.

Version 1.0 represented the “feature complete” milestone of the original model specification, introducing the agent-based forest management engine (ABE) and the bark beetle disturbance module.

Version 0.8 included the fire disturbance module and legacy dynamics used in Seidl et al. (2014, Ecol. Appl.).

Version 0.7 introduced the first disturbance module (wind disturbance mechanics), applied in Seidl et al. (2013, Environ. Model. Software).

Version 0.6.9 introduced enhanced regeneration and light competition modules, applied in Seidl et al. (2012b).

Version 0.3 included early simulation experiments and full C++ source code releases for Oregon USA landscapes (Seidl et al. 2012, Ecol. Model.).
