iLand - the individual-based forest landscape and disturbance model

iLand is a research tool and software for non-commercial use, developed to study forest landscape dynamics at individual tree resolution. It is designed to investigate questions on the interactions between climate (change), disturbance regimes, vegetation, and management in complex forest landscapes. Its initial development was funded by the European Commission under a Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellowship (grant 237085), and a number of additional research grants have contributed to model development and testing.
